Punchline - Terms of Use

By downloading or using Punchline ("App"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License to Use the App
When you download Punchline, you receive a personal, non-exclusive license to use the App on your device in accordance with these Terms and the App Store rules.
2. Core Functionality
The App allows users to play short audio effects triggered by speech and device motion, and to import personal audio files for local use.
3. User Responsibilities
- How you use the App in public or private settings.
- Ensuring you have rights/permissions to use imported audio files.
- Complying with applicable laws (privacy, copyright, and publicity rights).
4. Content and Intellectual Property
- App code, branding, and original assets are protected by intellectual property laws.
- Third-party materials remain subject to their original licenses.
- You must not reverse engineer, redistribute, or resell the App except where allowed by law.
5. Prohibited Uses
Users may not use the App to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm others
- Violate applicable laws
- Distribute illegal or copyrighted material without permission
- Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the App
5. Imported Audio
When you import audio:
- You confirm you have the legal right to use that file.
- You accept responsibility for any claims arising from unauthorized use of copyrighted or protected material.
6. Purchases, Trial, and Access
- Free trial period, then one-time unlock purchase model.
- Purchases are handled by Apple through StoreKit/App Store.
- Refunds, billing, and purchase disputes are governed by Apple's policies.
- Restore purchase is available via App Store mechanisms.
7. Availability and Changes
Features may be updated, modified, or removed over time to improve reliability, security, or compliance.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the App.
10. Children's Use
Punchline is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children under 13.
11. Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use the App. Rights granted under these Terms terminate if you violate them.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law in your jurisdiction, without overriding any mandatory consumer protections.
